Privacy Policy — DLV Companion

DLV Companion ("the app") is an unofficial fan-made companion app for the video game Disney Dreamlight Valley. This policy explains what data the app handles.

1. Information stored on your device

Everything you track in the app — collection progress, garden timers, player name, language, theme and notification preferences — is saved locally in your device's browser storage. It is never uploaded to us, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app removes it.

2. Information we collect ourselves

None. The app has no sign-up, no login, no analytics of our own, and no server that receives your personal information.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version displays banner ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process:

• your device's advertising identifier
• general device information (model, operating system, language)
• approximate, non-precise location derived from your IP address
• interactions with the ads shown

This processing is carried out by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's Privacy & Terms. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

Purchasing the ad-removal option stops ads from being requested or displayed.

4. Purchases (Google Play Billing)

Optional one-time purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card details, address or Google account. The app only learns whether a purchase is active, so it can unlock the corresponding feature.

5. News content (Firebase)

The app fetches an in-app news feed from Google Firebase. This is a one-way download of content to your device — no personal information about you is sent when it happens, beyond the network request itself (which includes your IP address, as with any internet connection).

6. Notifications

Reminders (crop timers, shop resets, rare critter alerts) are generated and scheduled on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or to any server to make them work.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If the app is used by a child, note that ad content settings can be managed on the device and that the ad-free purchase removes advertising entirely.

8. Your choices and rights

• Reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings.
• Opt out of personalised ads in device settings, or purchase the ad-free option.
• Clear all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.
• If you are in the EEA or UK, a consent prompt governs whether personalised ads are shown; you may change your choice at any time from within that prompt.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
